Let TST run your High School Prep. Camp

Looking for someone to help your team prepare for the season?  Contact TST to run your school’s high school prep. camp!  Great for school’s and clubs before high school tryouts to get a head start and prepare for the upcoming season. 

Curriculum Overview

Individual-Group-Team Attacking

  • Principles of penetration, possession, depth, width, support, improvisation and movement off the ball.
  • High tempo technical repetition of foundations, cuts, pulls, fakes and moves to improve sharpness and comfort level on the ball.
  • High tempo technical repetition of 1 and 2 touch passing and receiving patterns to improve speed of play.
  • Small and large group possession games.
  • High tempo technical repetition of crossing and finishing and within transition games.
  • Transition games of 1v1-4v4 games to large goals to improve transition, finishing, and movement upon regaining possession. 
  • 4v4-6v6 to large goals.  Focus on movement of the target player/forward and to improve finishing.
  • Full sided scrimmage 8v8-11v11 to improve positional roles, attacking team shape and decision making.

Individual-Group-Team Defending

  • Principles of immediate recovery, pressure, cover, balance, compactness, communication.
  • Zonal principles of cover and weak-side balance.
  • Agility and defensive footwork drills
  • High tempo guantlet to improve 1v1 tackling and ballwinning ability 
  • Transition games from 1v1-4v4 to large goals to improve immediate reaction and recovery shape to losing possession.
  • Full sided scrimmage 8v8-11v11 to improve positional roles, defending team shape and decision making.

Fitness

  • 2 mile run on track (8 laps timed).
  • Manchester United 20 minute progressive sprint-recovery test.
  • Dynamic warmup, flexibility, coordination, and ladder acceleration drills.
  • Agility suicides with and without the ball.
  • Core strength holds, pushups, and abs.
  • Sprints 20-40-60s

Competitons

  • Heading progression and Camp 2v2 Heading Competition.
  • 4v4-6v6 Camp Tournament.
  • 8v8-11v11 Camp Tournament.
  • Juggling Competiton.
  • Finishing - Swedish Fish 4 rounds dominant foot, non-dominant foot, volleys, placement.
  • Technical long range passing and receiving.  Driven ball over 40 yards to partner who must receive and juggle 5 times without ball dropping from serve.
