Dates

Winter 2012 January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13 (6 week program)      

Time & Ages*

5-6pm  U9-U10
6-7pm  U11-U12
7-8pm  U13-U14
8-9pm  U15-U18

*Contact TST prior to registration.  TST will recommend which hour slot to train based on age and ability.  There is flexibility to overlap but in general the younger aged players will train in the earlier time slots and the older aged players will train in the later time slots.

The Winter Program is designed according to individual-group ability with a heavy emphasis devoted to technical development.  Players in the program will gain confidence and composure on the ball through our intensive skills training, as well as understanding how to deal with pressure and develop decision making skills in tight spaces.  Players will also become quicker and stronger through speed, agility, and core strength exercises.  All of this will be accomplished in a positive, safe, and fun environment.

Technical-tactical skills are developed through no pressure (skill and no defender), passive pressure (skill with an obstacle, time and/or space restraint) and full pressure (active defender) game-related exercises and small-sided scrimmages from 1v1 to 4v4.

Dribbling - improve quality and consistency of cutting, turning, pull-pushes, and dynamic moves to break pressure and beat defenders.
Passing - improve quality and precision of passing, keeping possession, and combination play with inside and outside of the foot.
Ball Striking - improve mechanics, power, and accuracy of shooting with the laces.
Receiving - improve first touch to receive and turn with both feet, inside, outside, and out of air to break pressure.
Heading and Juggling - improve heading mechanics and juggling technique.
Transition - improve reaction time from defense-to-attack and attack-to defense.

Each player will receive 6 weeks of consecutive training.  Enrollment is limited.
